In the second half of the 2010-11 season, NBC cancelled the series Perfect Couples (starring David Walton) and replaced it with a worse-faring comedy show starring Paul Reiser, called The Paul Reiser Show. A semi-autobiographical sitcom, Reiser played himself as a former TV star who hasn't worked in TV for years and is trying to find a way to break back into TV.

The show was cancelled after two episodes aired after low ratings and negative reviews that often compared it uncharitably to Curb Your Enthusiasm (Larry David guest starred in the Paul Reiser Show's pilot). While these episodes are available, the remaining five episodes were left unaired in the United States and the series has not been released on DVD.
