Between 1997 and 1999, Hallmark Home Entertainment released a number of children's programs on VHS tapes under the Crayola label, such as The Ugly Duckling, Percy the Park Keeper, and The Adventures of Mouse and Mole. Hallmark also released a direct-to-video series called Crayola Kids Adventures, which consists of three videos: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Tales of Gulliver's Travels and The Trojan Horse. Some releases came with a activity booklet and a box of four Crayola crayons.
While the VHS releases of The Ugly Duckling, Tales of the Tooth Fairies, The Adventures of Mouse and Mole and Crayola Kids Adventures: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Tales of Gulliver's Travels can be easy to find, it appears that the other Crayola VHS releases (being The 3 Little Pigs: The Movie, The Ugly Duckling Sing-Along Tunes, Small Stories, Brambly Hedge Autumn & Winter Story, Percy The Park Keeper: The Rescue Party/One Snowy Night, and Crayola Kids Adventures: The Trojan Horse) were a financial failure and very few copies of those tapes were printed. Screener copies of these unreleased tapes exist, (Percy the Park Keeper screener VHS pictured below) but are almost impossible to find.
The 1999 VHS release of Kipper: Pig's Present and Other Stories consists of two promos for the Crayola videos. A Little Kipper book even advertises for a Kipper the Dog VHS release under the Crayola label, but was a unreleased prototype, the actual release dropped the Crayola branding and retitled to Kipper: The Visitor and Other Stories.
